New Feature: Status Board For Product Roadmap
While executing product plans during a quarter it’s critical to track the progress of your roadmap items. You may want to check which initiatives are done, in progress, or not yet started. That’s exactly what the new status property of roadmap items enables. The status is visible across all the roadmap views: on the card view and on the Gantt view popovers with a colored dot. Hovering over the status dot shows its name.
Announcing support for multiple projects
The ability to manage multiple projects or multiple roadmaps has been one of the most frequently requested features for shipit. Typically these users are managing multiple products, programs or projects in a larger organisation, or they are freelancers who support multiple companies. Today, we’re launching support for multiple projects under a single billing plan to serve these use cases.
Product Updates Q4 2020
Much of this quarter was about refining the Gantt view of the product roadmap. One basic assumption of shipit is that structuring your roadmap into calendar quarters suits most companies. We aim for offering simple solutions, and this means often means building opinionated software. Both the quarterly rhythm and the simplicity have been working well for our users. However, we also constrained roadmap items to stay within quarter boundaries on the Gantt view of the roadmap.
